Review: Underworld: Awakening

Exactly six years after the last direct sequel (Rise of the Lycans being a prequel in 2009). Underworld reminded us how vampires and werewolves  look and act the way they should really be. Is the six year gap from the original story long enough for the people to appreciate this film? Read on to find out.

Miku Hatsune 3D Moeness

I'm a fan of the Vocaloid software by Yamaha and many otakus love Miku Hatsune. This video is really a work of art. The song is Nebula and it was written by Tripshots. It's all beauty and nice music, won't you agree?

2009 UAAP Cheerdance Competition

It's that time again of the year wherein the top schools of UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) battle it out for the coveted Cheerdance Competition championship. This year all 8 schools were present and they all gave their best. The Adamson Pep Squad kicked off with a very beautiful costume that resembled the knights of medieval times. They were followed by the NU Pep Squad, then the DLSU Animo Squad with their Guild Wars Mesmer-like costumes. UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe gave an Egyptian-like performance then UP Pep Squad, the defending champion gave their best performance ever. Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion impressed the crowd with their rendition of Michael Jackson's Moonwalk. The cheering squads' costume reminded me of Songstress Yuna. The UE Pep Squad graced their red and white colors and performed mostly of Filipino songs. Finally, the host FEU Blazing Pep Squad made a performance using the UAAP's theme this year, the "Sarimanok". The overall performance was capitalized the Samsung cheering squad accompanied by each schools' muse and guidon bearer. The most awaited result came and FEU Blazing Pep Squad won the championship with a score of 86.1, ending the UST-UP rivalry. The Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion were shocked that they won 1st runner up with a score of 83.4 and the defending champion UP Pep Squad fall down to 2nd runner up with a score of 83.1. For the first time in the history of the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe never made it to the top 3, a disappointment that they have to carry on till next year. The UAAP Cheerdance Competition and the winning of the FEU Blazing Pep Squad topped both Twitter and Plurk on the most posted topic during that hour. Truly, this kind of competition unites every Filipino out there. Congratulations to the FEU Blazing Pep Squad for bringing home the crown since 1998.

[Review] Blood: The Last Vampire

Remember Jeon Ji-Hyun? For those of you who lived under a rock all this time, she was the oh so adorable lead actress of the Korean film My Sassy Girl (which was later adapted by the Americans) Well, she's known now as Gianna Jun in the US as she stars on this Japanese-adopted-by-American film Blood: The Last Vampire. Wait wait, a Korean girl is starring on a Japanese movie produced by Americans?! Yeah, much like Memoirs of a Geshia, Chinese girl (Zhang Ziyi) starring on a Japanese movie produced by Americans. Let's cut the chase, If you watched the anime version of this film then I recommend you stay away from this "adaptation". The story sucked big time due to the Americans "forcing" their own story to the plot, Admit it, Alice's story is not relevant to the main story, heck the story can progress and end without it! Why oh why do you always ruin such a good story just to add your "westernized" version? Anyway, the action sequences were good but I was dissappointed when Saya flying kicked one of the vampires, darn it! why is she wearing shorts?! What's the point of wearing a seifuku (sailor uniform) if there's no panty shot?! hahaha peace! Even though this movie has its ups and downs it is all forgiven due to the fact that Jeon Ji-Hyun acted well on an action film. God I love this girl

My second day at Tsukiden

Adik kasi si Jhe Ann eh, labo no? hahaha

E-Games 2009 Calendar

Ever wanted to see your character in Cabal or Ran be materialized as a real girl? Watch a cosplay event most of the people may answer. But E-Games themselves created a godly item, the E-Games 2009 Calendar. Twelve gorgeous babes wearing Cabal and Ran clothing. If the thought isn't enough to make you drool, think about Alodia Gosiengfiao and Jamilla Obispo (from PBB) wearing nothing but armor *evil grin*

Sandara Park kisses T.O.P. on new Gummy Video

After her exodus last August. Sandara Park finally seen the limelight once again in South Korea. She was partnered with T.O.P. who came from the group Big Bang. Details after the jump.

R&B artist, Gummy (a.k.a. Gumi or Spider) has returned to the Korean scene with another ballad. Discovered during her freshmen year of high school, her seven year training paid off. Since her debut with YG Entertainment, she remained one of the most truthful artists in Korea- never following the Kpop scene. Because she was too good for Big Mama, YG's President decided to make her a solo artist.
She had a long hiatus because of her unsuccessful crossover to the Japanese market, hoping to follow Se7en's semi-success. Though she's been 'forgotten' every time she's not promoting, she always manages to hit us with another powerful note in each song. During the recording of her new album, Comfort in 2007, she renewed her contract with YG Family and has been featured in Big Bang's LIES (Koh Ji Mal).

Her new long awaited Music Video from her new album, featuring Big Bang's T.O.P. kissing Sandara Park.
