Why isn't Siopao Master blogging a lot recently?

Some readers had emailed me (I have readers?! srsly?!) and was asking why am I not updating my site like I used to. Well some factors had prohibited distracted me from blogging. Find them out after the jump.

Reason #1

Been active with some events lately, the latest was the disappointing LG sale which wasted my whole Saturday. "Why haven't you blog about it man?", you might ask. Well, I kinda posted it on the GameOPS website. I wanted to add more traffic to my website, but I'd rather post it on GameOPS because I'm 100% sure a lot of people will read it (contrary to some people I know that believed that GameOPS is just a site being run by gay people and losers, poor morons)

Reason #2

Microblogging sites like twitter and plurk were aleady my outlet for some ideas and stuff. Heck, I can post something there even when I'm eating or doing some other stuff.Only those ideas longer than 140 characters are posted here on my blog. So yeah, blame them for the lack of content here (lol)

Reason #3

I'm not the type of blogger who post anything just to have some visitors coming here. I post what interests me and share it with all. I don't post hate content like someone who wrote a 6,000+ words blog which nobody gave a damn reading. I don't also made it checked by others for grammatical errors because I know my English (heh) So yeah, ultimately, my third reason is.. I don't blog crap.

Reason #4

Some of my older posts are still visited until today (like The Rise and Fall of Sandara Park and What Makes Me Proud to be a Filipino) So yey for traffic!

Reason #5

I'm just plain lazy

That is all.

Jacque Bermejo is now on the hot seat

Filipino OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) Jacque Bermejo made a comment in the Facebook group Definitely Filipino that ignited a chain of hatred by millions of Filipinos who were offended by her statement. A Facebook group was made to rally all the Jacque "haters" and made her multiply account a repository of almost four thousand hate comments and still counting. Some say this is the wrath of the people who suffered because of Ondoy due to her insensitivity. Others say that this is practically cyber bullying. It is up to you to decide if Jacque deserves salvation or she's heading for damnation.

To All My Informatics Students

A lot of rumors circulated recently regarding my resignation in Informatics Diliman, some are amusing and some are irritating. Anyway, the truth is as follows:

I gave my resignation last March 18,2009 with an effectivity date of April 9, 2009. I left my career as an instructor to pursue programming, my original career path, and try the industry field. I joined the company Tsukiden Software Philippines Inc. as a design engineer and I will start on Monday, May 4, 2009.

It's been fun working in the academe and I treated my co-faculties and students as family. If you really love me, you should understand my decision and support me as I supported you all this time. Even though I'm not a teacher anymore, you can still approach me and ask for some questions, just make sure I'm not busy or something.

Thank you guys for giving me a very happy memory as a teacher and wishing you all on your studies and future careers. See you when I see you guys. love you all

-Great Teacher Siopao

Pablo Banila, a person suffering from ADHD?

Pablo needs your help. Give him some of your attention
My online buddies at Plurk are talking about a certain "stalker" that was viewing their Friendster and Multiply by the name of Pablo Banila. What I think is, this person is suffering from Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Some say he's a stalker, some say he's a hacker. What I say is he's a person who needs attention. Someone who was deprived from having a friend in his life. He was locked up on his room playing with himself and drooling over the pictures of Alodia. You shouldn't be afraid of this loser. Instead, understand him. You know, that poor guys who doesn't have any friends at all. Pablo wants your attention, can you give it to him?

Greener pasture

Yesterday me and some thirty students went on an IT tour somewhere in Ortigas. No it's not some call center but an IT company who originally from Japan. We all attended an orientation about the company and what on Earth is their job. As the orientation went by, I saw something that originally found only in my dreams...to go to Japan! This is it, this company is offering me all the things I dreamed of.

These were the things that really made me want to go to this company

1. Work is from 7:30AM - 4:30PM or 9:00AM - 6:00PM
2. There is no Saturday work.
3. You got to be trained in programming for FREE.
4. You got to learn Nihonggo for FREE.
5. You can go to Japan all expenses paid by the company.
6. Really really cute girl programmers (MOE~!)

The list goes on. As I talked with their HR manager, she told me that I can apply to their company anytime I want. She asked me if I had any experience in the industry, which by the way is zero, but she said it was okay. Then she told me, "You know, you are a teacher, and teaching is a noble profession."

Now I am in a dilemma, should I continue my teaching career or should I pursue the software engineering career?
