Restaurant CIty

One of the popular application of Facebook today is a game where you can create your own restaurant and make your way to be the top restaurant in the city. This game is none other than Restaurant City. Many Facebook users are familiar with tis game and many became addicted. It's easy to learn, first you are given 2 employees, a stove, 3 tables and chairs. You need 1 cook and one waiter to operate your restaurant. Don't worry, it's not like Diner Dash where you manually command your employees, just place them where you want them to be (cook or waiter) and everything is automatic. Now the numbers on the upper left is your earnings that makes it possible to buy more stuff. The numbers on the upper middle is your Gourmet level, when leveled up, will increase the size of your restaurant (in terms of number of tiles) or allows you to hire more employees (max number is 8). The number on the upper right is your popularity points, which I say is important when you need to level up your restaurant or to earn those cash. The higher the number, the more customers will enter your restaurant. Beware though that you cannot accomodate more that you can cater so it may sometime result to a negative feedback on your behalf. The numbers on your employees represents their health when reached 0% will make them exhausted and not work anymore. you can give them food to regain their strength for a price. The maximum level of your restaurant so far is level 27 and I had reached this level recently. I would like to share these tips for you also to achieve this level with a bit of patience and dedication.

1.) 1 cook can efficiently serve 3 tables

2.) The less your waiter walks, the more time saved when serving the dishes.

3.) Furnitures like chairs and stoves are all THE SAME in terms of function regardless of their price, so spend wisely especially in the beginning.

4.) Your employees will work less productively when their health reaches below 80%

5.) The maximum earnings you can get when logged off or not inside your restaurant is $2000 regardless of dish level

6.) Your earnings are affected by the health of your employees and your popularity points when you log out. You need 100% health and a minimum of 23 popularity points to get $2000 after 5 hours or longer.

7.) Your waiters can serve diagonally, so this layout is advisable:

[T][T][T]
[C]W[C]
[T][T][T]

T= Table C=Cook W=Waiter

8.) Waiting chairs can help lessen your popularity drop due to customers waiting. but it is advise not to place more than 8 waiting chairs.

9.) Customers when sitted on a waiting chair will proceed to an available arcade machine thus preventing a drop in popularity.

10.) Making a maze for your customers may help delaying them but keep in mind that when a customer enters the restaurant, it will lock-in automatically into a chair.

11.) Level 8 and above will require you to have a toilet for customers who wants to do their "business". So you must require a cleaner to clean the toilet from time to time, This can be troublesome especially if you are in need of cooks and waiters. This can be resolved by going to the design mode, then removing the toilets, return to the restaurant, then go back to design mode to return the toilets. When done, your toilets will be magically cleaned.

12.) You can have a better ingredient if you answered successfully the daily food quiz above 7 seconds.

13.) The day will reset at exactly 8am (Philippine time) thus a new daily quiz will appear during this time.

14.) You don't need to max out all your dishes (Royal a.k.a. level 10). One Appetizer, one main dish and one dessert is all you need.

These are just tips for your reference and it is up to you to follow these tips. May you have a successful restaurant and may you enjoy the game.

[Review] Blood: The Last Vampire

Remember Jeon Ji-Hyun? For those of you who lived under a rock all this time, she was the oh so adorable lead actress of the Korean film My Sassy Girl (which was later adapted by the Americans) Well, she's known now as Gianna Jun in the US as she stars on this Japanese-adopted-by-American film Blood: The Last Vampire. Wait wait, a Korean girl is starring on a Japanese movie produced by Americans?! Yeah, much like Memoirs of a Geshia, Chinese girl (Zhang Ziyi) starring on a Japanese movie produced by Americans. Let's cut the chase, If you watched the anime version of this film then I recommend you stay away from this "adaptation". The story sucked big time due to the Americans "forcing" their own story to the plot, Admit it, Alice's story is not relevant to the main story, heck the story can progress and end without it! Why oh why do you always ruin such a good story just to add your "westernized" version? Anyway, the action sequences were good but I was dissappointed when Saya flying kicked one of the vampires, darn it! why is she wearing shorts?! What's the point of wearing a seifuku (sailor uniform) if there's no panty shot?! hahaha peace! Even though this movie has its ups and downs it is all forgiven due to the fact that Jeon Ji-Hyun acted well on an action film. God I love this girl

Online Gaming

Playing games is a way we people relax our minds and body when we feel stressed or tired. Some play games to kill time, some play games just for the sheer fun of it, and some play games and dedicate their lives to it. The World Wide Web a.k.a. information superhighway is a multimedia paradise for everyone. Reading articles, looking at pictures, watching streaming videos and listening to music are just some examples we do while connected to the internet. Gaming and WWW joined together and created what was the multi million industry we knew today as online gaming.

Multiplayer Online Gaming (MOG) spearheaded the online gaming industry by means of server-client based games like Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) and Massive Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) connecting players across the globe. Whether you're from Netherlands or you're from the Philippines, you are united into a virtual world were you are free to do what you can't do in real life without repercussion. Using avatars to express their feelings and emotions, online gaming takes you away from the problems you bear in real life. Then, Web 2.0 came. Unlike its older brother Web 1.0. "Two-point-oh" offered interactive content to internet users. The once static, dull and monotonous webpages became a multimedia rich content that users customizes to their heart's desire. Spawning online communities like Friendster, Multiply, hi5, Myspace and Facebook. What made these websites popular is that because of the user customization of 2.0, people who cannot afford web space and domain can call these their own. It's easy to customize and it's absolutely free. 2.0 also opened what made online gaming highly successful today, and that is browser gaming. As the name suggested, browser games doesn't require you to download clients like those in MMORPGs but only require you to use what we used in connecting to the information superhighway in the first place, the browser. this casual gaming made old games like Pacman immortalize using flash animation. Strategy games like Ikariam, Travian and Freesky became an everyday ritual with an ease of you-can-access-anywhere. Facebook boosted browser gaming even further by adding applications to their content. Games like Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, Pet Society, Restaurant City, Farm Town and Castle Age make you "use" your online contacts as elements on the game, thus utilizing the "friend connection". The web is still growing as we speak, and there are more possibilities in the near future.

The Great Teacher is back!

No not me!

The one who started it all. My inspiration and idol. The one, the only (drumroll please) Eikichi Onizuka! After the manga ended 7 years ago, an anime adaptation and a live-action drama to boot, the hentai sensei is back. Seriously, he's the main reason I became a teacher and this news is a shocker to me. The new serialisation is entitled “GTO SHONAN 14 DAYS”, and begins with a 55 page chapter in issue 28 of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine, It is still written by Tohru Fujisawa, so there will be no problem. It is not clear how long this serialisation is intended to continue but as one of the die-hard GTO fans, I'll definitely follow this.

Cleary you see Onizuka sensei made a Haruhi itasha on the vice principal's Cresta
