Intel Atom powered VB 6 programs

I was strolling along Trinoma before heading to a children's party when I found the booth of Intel. A booth that introduces their new Intel Atom processors. The Media Center is great but two of the booth's program really disturbed me.

The two programs in question are the cash register and the office timekeeping. The intrface was so-so and the concept was below avarage. Heck my students can make a better one! They used Microsoft Visual Basic 6 which is gaddam old already. They could have used VB 2005 or 2008 which is a lot better. What a waste of computer resources *sigh*

BTW, the price by visitng the booth is so lame. A keychain ~_~

Opening of Trinoma

TriNoMa or Triangle North Mall (originally North Triangle Mall, but hey TriNoMa sounds way cool!) opened its gate last May 16, 2007. It is owned and operated by Ayala therefore it rocks (hehehe).

Anyway, The place is huge, the facilities are great. There's even a garden at the top. We tested the cinemas BTW by watching Shrek 3. The cinema looks like the one in Greenbelt. The restrooms all over the mall is clean (for now). sofas are available at the food court for people to relax into, but I doubt it will last that long. For me, the highlight of the mall is the opening of one of my favorite shops, CD-R King. Heck there's one in SM Marilao but the hell they didn't put one in SM North. Overall, TriNoMa is a park and shop type mall (like in South Korea) where in the parking is bigger than the mall itself. SM North may have found its match.
